How long does the Ume experience take?
45 to 55 minutes.
Can multiple people participate with a single reservation?
Please make a reservation for the number of people who will be making the product. Reservations are not required for visitors. Please note that we are a very small store. Please understand this in advance.
Is there a time limit on how long I can keep my ume syrup or umeshu(plum wine) with me after making it?
For umeshu(plum wine), there is no time limit. For ume syrup, please refrigerate after one week and consume as soon as possible.
Is it safe to bring umeshu(plum wine) or syrup on a plane?
You can take it home as checked baggage using a special silicone cap.
Can people under 20 years old participate in the Ume experience?
Under Japanese law, persons under 20 years of age are not allowed to make umeshu (plum wine). However, you can make ume syrup.
Is it possible to make only one bottle of ume syrup or umeshu(plum wine) per person?
You can make as many bottles as you want within the time frame.
Can I leave my purchases with you?
Yes, you can keep your purchased items at the Kamakura store on the day of purchase.

What should I do if I am late, cancel, or change the number of people in my party?
【Late arrivals】
Each experience will start with other customers at the scheduled time. If you are running late, please notify the store via email; if you are more than 30 minutes late, we may not be able to accommodate you.
【Late arrivals】
If you wish to cancel your reservation, please use this cancellation form and enter the e-mail address with which you made your reservation.
【Change the number of people】

Do I need to make a reservation to purchase a Choya Ume kit or take-out drink to go?
Reservations are not required.
I want to make ume syrup or umeshu(plum wine) at the hotel. How many hours does the take-out Choya Ume kit keep the umes cold?
Up to 2 hours with dry ice. The cost of dry ice is 220 yen (tax included).
