Just Add Ume Fruit! A Versatile Ume Dressing

Hello everyone,
This is Nakao, Ume Concierge at the Kamakura store.

Today, I’d like to introduce a dressing recipe using ume fruit left after making umeshu or ume syrup.

By simply adding ume pulp to a classic Italian dressing, it transforms into a fruity, flavorful, and versatile original dressing.


【Recipe】(Cooking time: 10 minutes)
  • 3  infused  ume
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

    1.Remove the seeds from the ume fruits and chop finely.

    2.In a bowl, mix together the olive oil, vinegar, salt, and black pepper.

    3.Add the chopped ume from step 1 to the mixture and stir well.


    This easy recipe is perfect for your very first homemade dressing. Enjoy the refreshing flavor that ume brings!
