When I’m tired, I love drinking tart ume syrup.
But ume syrup isn’t only for drinking—it can be enjoyed in many different ways.
Here’s a fun recipe for Ume Gummies, made with just three ingredients and ready in only 15 minutes!
【Recipe】(Cooking time: 15 minutes, excluding chilling)
- 100 ml of your favorite ume syrup
Yellow: Fully-ripened Nanko × Konpeito
Brown: Fully-ripened Nanko × Beet sugar
Pink: Purple Queen × Rock sugar
- 50 ml water
- 10 g powdered gelatin
1.Dissolve the powdered gelatin in water.
2.Warm the ume syrup until it reaches about 60℃ (just steaming), then mix with step 1.
3.Pour into molds.
4.Chill in the refrigerator until set.

By changing the type of ume or sugar, you can enjoy variations in color and flavor.
With the gentle sweetness of ume syrup and the springy, handmade texture, these gummies are a perfect homemade treat. Try making them with your children for a fun snack!
