Hello everyone,
This is Sato from the Choya Kyoto store.
The autumn leaves are at their most beautiful this season.
Today’s recipe is Ume Sangria—a refreshing white wine sangria with citrus, mint, spices, and a touch of ume syrup for gentle sweetness.
It’s light and fruity, with a soft sweetness that spreads on the palate.
Perfect for home parties this season, it’s easy to prepare and looks just as lovely as it tastes!
- 90 ml ume syrup
- 300 ml white wine
- 3 infused ume
- ½ lemon
- ½ lime
- 6 mint leaves
- 3 cardamom pods
1.Slice the lemon and lime into rounds. Chop 1 ume fruit.
2.Lightly crush the cardamom pods.
Tip: Crush gently so the seeds don’t spill out, making it easier to drink.
3.In a pitcher, combine step 1, ume syrup, and the whole ume fruits. Pour in the white wine.
4.Add the cardamom and mint leaves. Done!
Tip: Lightly slap the mint in your hand before adding to release more aroma.
For an even lighter taste, top with soda water.
Or, for a cozy variation, add ginger and enjoy it warm.Feel free to explore your own style of serving!
